Each person or organization arrives at coaching from a different place. Either they’ve been coached or seen what effective coaches and clients can achieve. Skill based coaching allows individuals and/or teams' develop more of what they want and less of what they don’t want.
For example, sales are down and the market is uncertain, how can sales improve? Or, clients are choosing the competition over price: How do I sell value? I’m always crunched for time, but not getting enough done. I want to improve my executive presence or platform skills. Where do I begin? I have experience coaching these skills: executive presence, EI or self-awareness, business development, time management, influential conversations, business acumen, communication, effective negotiations, the sales process and effective teamwork.
In skills based coaching, I follow a three step process.
Assess the skill.
Focus on what needs to be improved.
Implement for results or better yet-take action.
Since the first step is assess, we will start with an assessment. Examples include, 360 dashboard assessment, DISC, EQI by TTI Insights, and the Profile XT.
Coaching is outcome based. Your takeaways are clear in the improvements you see in yourself, the team, or in the organization.
